This handmade canvas tote with hand-painted applique New York City silhouette is of course called "New York" and is made of 100% cotton canvas on the outside. The New York City silhouette is painted with shades of blue and dark blue.
I hand painted New York's silhouette on thinner cotton, then glued it onto the canvas and embroidered its margins so that it will not break or shred. I used special permanent textile water based “Maimeri” paints.
This handmade handbag is lined with polyester and it has a large zippered pocket on the inside that can accommodate your phone, keys, lipstick etc. To make it more sturdy, I interfaced it on both front and back sides. The city skyline is only applied on the front side.
This every-day bag is large enough to carry files, not too large clothes, and the things you need daily. You can use it as a shopping bag also. It's perfect as a birthday gift, anniversary gift, Mother's Day gift.
